    A. Criteria for shortlisting candidates for PI:

    IIM T will use CAT percentile for shortlisting candidates for PI. The table below indicates the minimum performance expected from candidates to be shortlisted for the PI. Please note that achieving the cut-off percentile in CAT is a necessary but not sufficient condition for being shortlisted.

    Considering the COVID-19 outbreak, the Written Ability Test (WAT) Process is excluded from the CAP  Process. Besides, the Personal Interview (PI) would be conducted through the online mode.     The admission process seeks to identify the most promising candidates for the PGP  for IIMV. IIMV uses multiple parameters, namely academic performance in 10th standard examination, 12th standard examination and Bachelor’s degree examination, candidates’ scores in CAT, as well as performance in Personal Interview and Written Ability Test to judge the suitability of candidates for the PGP program. Relevant work experience, if any, is also given weight in the selection. Evaluation by multiple criteria is also consistent with empirical research on recruitment and selection that shows greater efficacy of recruitment processes that uses multiple criteria. The CAT score, over and above being a selection criterion, is also used to establish the minimum level of proficiency that is expected from the candidate in respective areas as indicated by section wise minimum scores in the CAT.     • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent
      CGPA [45% in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled
      Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories], awarded by any University
      or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State legislature in
      India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956,
      or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government
      of India.
    • Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification
      examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting
      results can also apply. However, it may be noted that such candidates, if selected, will
      be allowed to join the program provisionally, only if they submit a certificate from
      the Principal/Registrar of their University/Institution (issued on or before the date as
      stipulated by the respective IIM) stating that they have completed all the requirements
      for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the
      certificate.
