The admission to 85% of seats will be based on the Rank obtained in the All Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by Government of Kerala. Remaining 15% of seats are filled by the management, which is also based on the rank obtained in the Entrance Examination.

Candidates should qualify (a minimum of 10 marks each in Paper I and Paper II) in the Engineering Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Govt. of Kerala (KEAM) and should be listed in KEAM Rank List or JEE Eligibility.

Candidates for admission to the B.Tech. Degree course shall be required to have passed the higher secondary/+2/XII Std. examination conducted by boards/departments recognized/accepted by the University, obtaining not less than 50% marks in Mathematics and not less than 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together or the diploma examination in Engineering, Kerala or an examination accepted by the Government of Kerala as equivalent thereto with 50% marks in the final qualifying examination, subject to the usual concession allowed for backward and other communities as specified from time to time.

• Nationality: For general category admissions candidates must be citizens of India.
• Age: Applicants should have completed 17 years on 31, December.
• Academic Requirements: Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects with at least 45% marks put together in the above subjects are eligible for admissions. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry or Computer Science the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science, or Biotechnology the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered. The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility. Rounding off the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted.
