Admission Details
Admission to NIT, Agartala is made in accordance with the instructions received from the Ministry of Education (MoE), formerly the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India from time to time. Seats are reserved for candidates belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, physically challenged candidates and other backward communities as per the guidelines issued from Ministry of Education (MoE).
Admission to all courses is made in the odd semester of each session at the first year level through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) Ministry of Education, Govt of India
Admission to the Bachelor of Technology Programme (B.Tech) is conducted on the basis of valid JEE Main scores and through the joint seat allocations made by Joint Seat allocation Authority (JoSSA)/CSAB.
Eligibility Criteria
Must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.
