Admission is the Based on the JEE-Mains and Any other State Govt. Engineering Entrance Exam.
Admission of NIT Hamipur is based on the performance in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). There is no need to apply separately to each NIT. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), constituted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, comprising of the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and the Joint Admission Board (JAB) conduct and supervise the admission process of candidates to various NITs through centralized online counseling process.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for admission to any one of the programs in Engineering is a minimum aggregate of 60% or secures 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths in class XII. A candidate must have passed his/her 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. It is mandatory for the candidate to have Pass grade in each subject of qualifying examination. The marks will not be rounded off to determine the eligibility criteria e.g. 59.99% will not be considered equivalent to 60.00%.
Must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.
