Admission Details
The NIMCET is NIT MCA Common Entrance Test, a National Level Test conducted by NITs for admission into MCA programme. The admission to the MCA programme into NITs is based on the Rank obtained in NIMCET.
The admission to MCA Programme is based on NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) examination jointly conducted by NITs and through centralized common counseling.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admission into M.C.A. should have passed three-year degree or equivalent degree from a recognized University/Institute with First Class and not less than 60% aggregate marks (of all the years) or equivalent CGPA of 6.5/10. In case of SC/ST candidates, 55% aggregate marks (of all the years) or equivalent CGPA of 6.0/10 is the eligibility requirement.
Candidates with a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics at the (10 + 2) school level or at the Bachelor's level or BCA are eligible. Those candidates who are appearing at the Bachelor's degree Examination and fulfill the above mentioned criteria are also eligible but they will have to furnish the result of the Bachelor's degree examination before a stipulated date.
The admission is granted by the Institute as per Government policy and the score of NIMCET. Indian Nationals are only eligible to apply.
