    Admission Procedure:For Indian Students:

    1. Undergraduate Engineering Programmes

    Admission to Undergraduate Engineering programmes may be obtained through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) examination and selection process, or through the Management Admission process.

    Eligibility Criteria: CET Admission Process
    • Student should have passed II PUC / 12th Standard or equivalent examination, with English as one of the languages, and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks aggregate in Physics and Mathematics, along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science. In case of SC/ST and OBC (Cat-1,2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B category) students from Karnataka, the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 40%.
    • Student should have cleared the entrance test conducted by the Govt. of Karnataka – KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test)
    Eligibility Criteria: Management Admission Process
    • Student should have passed II PUC / 12th Standard or equivalent examination, with English as one of the Languages, and obtained a minimum of 60% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics, along with Chemistry / Bio- Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
    • Student should have cleared any one of the Entrance Tests conducted by the Govt. of Karnataka or Govt. of India (KCET, COMEDK, AMPCK, JEE)

    Admission through COMED-K :

    A consortium of the management of the private colleges of Karnataka conducts this test tentatively in the month of May every year. Both Karnataka & Non-Karnataka students can appear for this test. 30% of the seats of the total intake are to be filled through COMED-K test.

    Admission through CET :

    The government of Karnataka conducts Common Entrance Test tentatively in the month of April every year. Karnataka domicile students can apply for this test and the allotment of the seats is done online. 45% of the seats of the total intake are to be filled through CET. In addition to this, 5% of Supernumerary quota seats are also made available for the meritorious- economically weaker students with the tuition fee waiver provision.

    Requirements for joining B.E Program in Computer Science and Engineering

    If your interest lies in consumer electronics, computer system design, game design, graphics, programming languages, database management, or networking or security systems or robotics, then Computer Science and Engineering is the course for you.Besides this, all Indian students applying for the B.E Computer Science and Engineering program must fulfil the following requirements:

    a) CET Quota Students:

    • Must have passed the Second Year of Pre-university or 12th standard or equivalent, with English as one of the subjects.
    • Must have secured an aggregate of at least 45% in Math andPhysics, along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
    • Must have cleared KCET.

    b) Management Quota Direct Admission students:

    • Must have passed the Second Year of Pre-university or 12th standard or equivalent, with English as one of the subjects and obtained an aggregate of at least 60% in Math and Physics, along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
    • Must have passed the Second Year of Pre-university or 12th standard or equivalent, with English as one of the subjects and obtained an aggregate of at least 60% in Math and Physics, along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
    • Must clear the interview and written test that will be conducted by the College, as mandated by the University.

    c) Students in the SC/ST and CAT1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B categories:

    • Must have secured a minimum aggregate of 40% in the qualifying examination.
    • Must have cleared KCET

    d) International/NRI students:

    • Must have passed anexam equivalent to Second Year of Pre-university or 12th standard, with English as one of the subjects and obtained an aggregate of at least 60% in Math and Physics, along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
    • Must clear the interview and written test that will be conducted by the College, as mandated by the University.
    • International / NRI students are requested to directly contact the Admission Cell at the college campus and obtain the Application Form.

    Note:
    A student who has passed the qualifying exam (PUC, 12th standard) from a recognized Board other than those mentioned by VTU, must obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (New Delhi). This certificate is mandatory for admission in the College.

    e) B.E Lateral Entry: CET Admission Process

    • Must have passed the Diploma or equivalent examination as recognized by the University, and secured not less than 45% marks in the final year examination (fifth and sixth semesters), in the relevant branch of Engineering.
