Admission Details
Admission in REC Ambedkar Nagar takes place through the counselling conducted by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh based on the merit of candidates in the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) except for Other State Nominees which are nominated by the Government of India.
Students are admitted to the Undergraduate B.Tech. Program in the disciplines of Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Mining Engineering through a valid score obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Mains) conducted by the National Testing Agency. Lateral entry to the second year of all four engineering programs (on 10% intake of total seats) is also provided through a valid score obtained in the Common University Entrance Test, CUET (UG).
Eligibility Criteria
A Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate examination (10+2) of the Board of Intermediate Education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as subjects or any other examination.
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
