Admission shall be made on merit based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the state government/U.T. Administration and the university.

The admission procedure is centralized and is conducted by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Maharashtra. The aspiring candidates have to appear for the Common Entrance Test and undergo the procedure of admission conducted by the Directorate.

Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the bachelor's Degree and Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/ Humanity, Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification, equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.

The candidate's eligibility for the programme is graduation from any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks.
