The Students are selected for admission on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

• The Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s degree or any other qualification declared equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to B.Ed. program. Any candidate with 49.9% or fewer marks is not eligible.
• The reservation for SC/ST/OBC category candidates and other categories is as per the rules of the Central Government or State Government. There is a relaxation of 5% marks in favor of SC/ST/OBC category candidates. Candidates with 44.9% marks or less are not eligible.

• Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Arts, Science, Social Science, Commerce, or equivalent discipline from a recognized university.

• The candidate must have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying degree.

• For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), the Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), and other reserved categories of Punjab, a relaxation of 5% marks (i.e., 45%) is applicable.
