In counseling first seats will be filled by the valid score GATE candidates and if interested candidates with valid GATE score are not available then remaining seats will be filled according to the merit of University Entrance Examination.

The candidate must appear for an entrance exam like MHCET/ JEE mains with a non-zero score.

For General/OBC candidates 60% marks in B.Tech or equivalent
For SC/ST candidates 55% marks in B.Tech or equivalent
Candidates having 60% marks and valid qualified GATE score for General/OBC candidates and 55% of marks and valid qualified GATE score SC/ST candidates will be given preference in admission. Candidates having valid and qualified GATE score are not require to appear in University entrance examination.

 Candidate must be HSSC with 50% marks for open category candidates and 45% for reserved category candidates, along with this, he/she must appear for entrance exam like MHCET/ JEE mains with a non-zero score.

Lateral:

Minimum aggregate of 50% (Open) and 45% (Other Category) marks in Diploma Course in Engineering or Technology of MSBTE.
