Candidates appearing for the VITEEE-2026 should have either completed or shall be appearing in any one of the following qualifying examinations in 2026

• The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations or any other Board accepted by VIT as equivalent to 10+2 examination.
• Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
• General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
• High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University/Pearson Edexcel regulated by UK For PCM : Physics & Mathematics - A Level/ Chemistry - A/AS Level and English - A/AS Level For PCB : Physics & Biology - A Level/ Chemistry - A/AS Level and English - A/AS Level
• High School Certificate Examination of the International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.

i) For PCM : Physics & Mathematics - HL, Chemistry - SL/HL

ii) For PCB : Physics & Biology - HL, Chemistry - SL/HL

• Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with minimum of 5 subjects as recognized by central board.
• Applicants who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India should produce an equivalence certificate to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination with grade/CGPA converted to percentage.

i) Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full Time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply. Candidates who have appeared for multiple board examinations in the same academic year are not eligible.

ii) For Indian nationals attending VITEEE 2026 is mandatory to be eligible for B.Tech. admission.

ii) In case VITEEE 2026 gets cancelled due to natural calamities or causes beyond the control of the institute, qualifying criteria may be substituted with higher secondary marks. Applicants shall be informed accordingly.

Category-A seats constitute 70% of the total seats in the college. The Category-A seats are filled through Convener, EAMCET, Andhra Pradesh. The second category, Category-B seats constitute 30% of the total available seats. The Category-B seats are filled by the management through the news paper advertisement.

• The applicant should be a Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / PIO / OCI.
• NRI applicants can directly apply under ‘NRI Category’ through the NRI application form.
• Foreign applicants who have studied/are studying abroad can apply directly through the International application form.
• Applicants whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2004 are eligible to apply for admission into Engineering in the academic year 2026.
• The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic.
• Applicants should produce this certificate in original as a proof of their age at the time of counselling/admission, failing which their candidacy for admission will be cancelled.

CATEGORY- A (Convenor) seats: (70% of intake in each branch):

• The candidate shall be of Indian National.
• The candidate should have completed 16 years of age as of 31st December of the Academic year for which the admissions are being conducted.
• The Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects, or any other examination recognized as equivalent to Intermediate thereto.
• The Candidates seeking admission should qualify in the EAMCET Examination conducted by the Govt. of AP. The candidates will be admitted strictly in accordance with the merit secured at the Entrance Examination keeping in view the rules in force regarding the reservations of seats of various categories of candidates.
• The candidate should satisfy the Local/Non-Local status requirement as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.

CATEGORY- B (Management) seats: (30% of intake in each branch):

• The candidate shall be of Indian National or a Non-Resident Indian.
• The candidate should have completed 16 years of age as of 31st December of the Academic year for which the admissions are being conducted.
• 15% of Category B seats are available to NRI candidates who have passed the qualifying examination with not less than 60% of aggregate marks or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) equivalent to 6 on a scale of 10.
• The leftover seats are available to candidates from other states and Union Territories of India who have passed the qualifying examination and secured rank in JEE Main.
• Vacant seats if any may be filled either on the basis of rank obtained in EAMCET or of securing not less than 50% in Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects, or any other examination recognized as equivalent to Intermediate thereto.
