The admission of the candidates is made strictly on the basis of merit and selection tests. The candidates have to pass the Common Entrance Test conducted by Gauhati University. The college issues admission forms to the eligible candidates of the Common Entrance Test in the month of June-July for each academic year as per the notification of Gauhati University. The academic session starts in the month of August.

Admission Shall be Made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the state government/U.T. Administration and the university.

Candidates who have passed the Bachelor / Master Degree securing marks 50% or above are eligible for admission into the B. Ed course subject to availability of seats. Reserved seats are allotted as per the rules

Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelor’s degree and/or in the Master’s degree in sciences/social sciences/humanity, Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.
