Admission Details
Admissions to the four-year B.Tech. Program in Computer Science and Engineering, of the Institute is based on merit assessed through transparent and reasonable criteria followed by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) which have been set up by the Ministry of Education [erstwhile Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD)] to manage and regulate admission process of the Institute. Admission into all the four-year B.Tech. Programs offered by the Institutes is processed through JoSAA 2023(https://josaa.nic.in/) and CSAB 2023(https://csab.nic.in/) by their respective online portals. The candidates are advised to carefully go through the Business Rules and Process Flow of the JoSAA 2023 and CSAB-Special rounds available on their respective websites.
Admission in MIT for four years B.Tech. course is made through Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (B.C.E.C.E.) conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. The candidates desirous of seeking Admission in MIT are advised to appear in Screening & Main Examination of B.C.E.C.E.
Eligibility Criteria
Must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.
The minimum academic qualification for admission through an entrance examination is a pass in the final examination of the Intermediate, 10+2 system or its equivalent. Those appearing in the Intermediate final or equivalent examination may also appear in the entrance examination for consideration of provisional admission. All provisional admissions will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination(Intermediate or equivalent) is not submitted to the institute at the time of counselling.
If an applicant is found ineligible at a later date even after admission to the MIT, his/her admission will be cancelled.
All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents of the candidates. The decision of the B.C.E.C.E.B., regarding eligibility of any applicant, shall be final.
