The candidate should have a minimum must have passed the 12th grade or equivalent with a science stream. 

The candidate should have 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 with Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English subjects. For SC & ST candidates 5% less than that prescribed for general category i.e 47.5%.
