Admissions in MD/MS course will be done through National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-PG).

• Candidate seeking admission to postgraduate Medicine course should hold MBBS degree of recognized University by MCI.
• A candidate who has completed one year compulsory rotating internship or is likely to complete the same on or before 30th April of respective academic year can appear for AICET.
• All such candidates will have to submit the documentary proof, from the Principal/ Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of internship along with the manual application form, failing which the application shall be rejected.
• A candidate should have obtained permanent registration with MCI (as the case may be) or any state council. If candidate does not have such registration , he should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission.
• Candidates who are previously registered and pursuing/completed the PG degree course or have obtained PG degree, are not eligible for appearing at AICET.
• Candidates previously admitted to PG degree course and resigned/left the seat are not eligible for appearing at AICET.
• Candidate who have completed Medicine postgraduate diploma course or would be completing by 31st March respective academic year will be eligible for AICET for admission to postgraduate degree in the same subject only.
• Candidate should be appeared for the AICET Examination conducted by this University and should get minimum 50% marks. However, admission will be on the basis of merit.

All candidates seeking admission to Post Graduate Medical and Surgical Degree courses in Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute under Chettinad Academy of Research and Education for the current academic year will have to qualify in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduates, (NEET-PG) for the respective year conducted by the National Board of Examinations which is mandatory. It shall be necessary for the candidate to obtain a minimum of marks at the 50th percentile in ‘NEET-PG’. (However, in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other Backward Classes the minimum marks shall be at the 40th percentile. The minimum qualifying mark in case of candidates with locomotor disability of lower limbs shall be at the 45th percentile.) The candidates must have satisfactorily completed a one-year compulsory rotatory residential internship (CRRI) on or before 31st March the previous year. Candidates who have completed their internship after 31st March of the previous year shall be ineligible to participate at any stage of the admission process.
