Admission Details
70 % of the seats are allotted based on the merit in the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Govt. of Telangana /Andhra Pradesh.
30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management / NRI candidates.
In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in the second year of B.Tech to the extent of 20% of intake based on the merit in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET), under lateral entry scheme conducted by Govt. of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh.
Admissions for Category – Seats
Admissions are conducted by the Convener - EAMCET Admissions, through web counseling based on the EAMCET ranks of the candidates.
Admissions for Category – B seats
B- Category seats are filled by the Management of the college stipulated by APSCHE, Hyderabad.
Eligibility Criteria
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
Candidates who have passed the two-year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education or its equivalent with not less than 50% of marks in the prescribed group subjects i.e. Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) are eligible for admission. However, the order of priority for the selection of candidates for admission is the rank in EAMCET, marks in the prescribed group subjects in the qualifying examination.
3 year B.Tech Programmes for Diploma Holders (Lateral entry)
Of the sanctioned intake in each branch of engineering 20% of seats as supernumerary seats are allotted to Diploma Holders for admission into II Year B.Tech directly. Admissions into II Year B.Tech through lateral entry for Diploma Holders are conducted by the Convener, ECET (FDH) Admissions through web counseling based on the rank obtained by the candidates in ECET (FDH) and the rules of reservations.
There are no B – Category (Management Quota) Seats for lateral entry into II Year B.Tech.
