Admissions in B.Tech. Courses are done by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Bhopal. Admissions through lateral entry are made directly into 2the nd year in B. Tech. by the Directorate of Technical Education, Bhopal, and are affiliated with RGPV.

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 from the Madhya Pradesh Secondary Board or any equivalent exam from a recognized board.
• They must have secured a minimum aggregate of 45% of marks (SC/ST candidates the criteria is 40%)
• They must have studied Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects with Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/Computer Science as the optional subjects in their 10+ 2
• Candidates must be residents of MP and must fulfill the domicile requirements of MP as specified.
• They must have appeared for JEE Main 2017.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to a reserved category) in the above subjects. OR Passed the Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category), subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
