Admission is based on the Entrance Examination will be conducted by the university.

The Admissions for Maharashtra State Candidates are done as below

i. For Maharashtra seats on basis of MH-CET

ii. For All India seats on basis of MHT-CET and JEE main in the order of preference

A) Candidate possessing B.Sc. Degree from Shivaji University with minimum 50% marks. Bachelor degree from Shivaji University in Food Science and technology, Food Science and Quality control, Food Technology and Management, Agriculture, Horticulture and Home Science with minimum 50% marks. Students from other universities with B.Sc. degree in general, Agriculture and Horticulture with minimum 50% marks B. Sc. Mircobiology, Bio-Technology, Chemistry, Zoology.

B) All the candidates eligible as mentioned with above eligibility criterion have to pass entrance examination conducted by the Department of Food Science & Technology, Shivaji University,

• Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate and Outside Maharashtra State Candidates :

Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.

AND

Secured minimum 50 % marks (minimum 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject added together.

AND 

Obtained a positive Composite score* i.e., marks obtained after adding 50% of JEE (Main)  (Paper 1) marks and 50% of normalized Standard XII (Board or Equivalent Examination) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

• Eligibility Criteria for All India Candidates :

Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject

 AND

Secured minimum 50 % marks (minimum 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject added together.

AND

Obtained All India Rank in JEE (Main) (Paper 1) given by CBSE.
