    Candidate shall also appear in JEE (Main) and GUJCET Entrance examination in respective subjects.  

    Candidate should obtain non zero positive score in JEE Main Paper I or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in JEE (Main) Paper I over the candidates who obtained non zero score in CET.

    Fifteen percent (15%) seats in the institution shall be allowed on supernumerary basis from amongst Overseas Citizens of India (OCI)/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Foreign Nationals (FN)/ Children of Non Resident Indians (NRI) and Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWGC) over and above of the approved intake of each discipline as sanctioned by DTE, Government of Maharashtra.

    The 1/3rd of the 15% sanctioned seats are reserved for CIWGC in each discipline and remaining 2/3rd of the 15% seats are for OCI/PIO/FN.

    Eligibility Criteria

    [A] For Students who have passed qualifying examination from school located in Gujarat and appeared in GUJCET 

    •  A candidate shall have passed HSC (10+2) with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) of theory (or theory and practical) marks of Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects with (Chemistry or Biology or Technical Vocational subject) from a single board. Candidate shall also appear in GUJCET  examination in respective subjects. The candidate shall pass the HSC examination from schools located in Gujarat from any board from GSEB, CBSE, ISCE, Cambridge, International Baccalaureate (IB) or NIOS. 
    • A candidate whose parents are of Gujarat origin and who has passed the qualifying examination with minimum eligibility criteria of percentage of marks in subjects prescribed by AICTE from time to time from the State where his parents are located and has appeared in the GUJCET conducted in the corresponding academic year, shall be eligible for admission. 
    •  candidate whose parents are serving in the category of services as mentioned in admission rules and who are transferred from other States to Gujarat and have resumed their duties in the place where they are transferred in Gujarat and shall remain so transferred in the State of Gujarat at the time of registration for admission, shall be eligible for admission and his candidature shall be included in the merit list.
    •  A candidate who has studied under Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Scheme / Sainik School up to Standard VIII in any of the schools located in the State of Gujarat, and there after studied in any of the schools located out of the State of Gujarat under the said scheme, and passed Qualifying Examination from a Navodaya Vidyalay / Sainik School located outside Gujarat State. 
    • [B] For Students who have passed qualifying examination from school located in India (including Gujarat State) and appeared in JEE (Main) 
    • Five percent of seats in Government and aided institutions shall be available for the candidates who have cleared the qualifying examination with minimum eligibility criteria of percentage of marks in subjects prescribed by AICTE from time to time from an eligible board from school located in India (Including Gujarat State)and have appeared in JEE (Main) for the corresponding academic year.     (A) First Year. -

    (1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate. -

    (i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;

    (ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together; and The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

    Or

    (ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) ;

    (2) All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidates. -

    (i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;

    (ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together; and should obtain non zero positive score in JEE Main Paper I or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in JEE (Main) Paper I over the candidates who obtained non zero score in CET.

    Or

    (ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) ;

    (3) NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National. -

    (i) The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 45 % marks in the above subjects taken together;

    (ii) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

    (B) Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry) Admission, -For Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate and All India Candidature Candidate, -

    (i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;

    (ii) Passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent;

    Or

    (ii) Passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject : Provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second-year subjects.

    (iii) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.
