Admission Details
Each eligible candidate shall be required to appear and to qualify as a written test (JEE Main) conducted by the CBSE. However, this is not mandatory for foreign students.
Admission to Indian Institute of Information Technology is through Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB). All the interested candidates are requested to follow the admissions criteria explained on the CSAB website.
Seat allocation for different categories of students will be as per CSAB norms. The institute has no role in the seat allocation process.
Eligibility Criteria
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
Must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.
