Admissions to the M.Tech. (CSE) Program is made through the Centralized Counselling for M.Techadmissions (CCMT). Official notification of the admissions is given wide publicity through national dailies during March-April every year. CCMT is the on-line admission process for NITs and many IIITs including other national level institutions. It is a merit-based admission considering valid GATE score and qualifying degree norms as declared by the CCMT. A candidate may participate in the CCMT admissions process through the official admission portal of the CCMT.

Teaching Assistantship of INR 12,400 (per month) is provided to GATE qualified MTech students.

a) A candidate who has appeared for the qualifying degree may apply. GATE is mandatory for all the courses. 

b) All candidates who are eligible for admission but whose results are yet to be declared, will be allowed provisional admission, if selected, on production of Course Completion Certificate from appropriate authorities. They will be required to submit their results of the qualifying degree examinations.

c) Minimum 60% (or equivalent CGPA) for Genaral candidates and 55% (or equivalent CGPA) marks is required for SC/ST/PH candidates in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

Minimum Qualification: B.Tech./B.E. in CS, IT, EC and related areas or M.Sc. in CS/IT/STAT/MATH, The aggregate marks in the qualifying degree should not be less than 60% or equivalent as per the norm set by the degree awarding institute/university. Essential (Valid GATE score): GATE in Computer Science/ Electronics Communication Engineering.
