For admission to B.Tech courses, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Pass intermediate examinations or equivalent (10+2) from any recognized board, with a minimum of 50 % in PCM or its equivalent. 

State Admission: U.P. State has conducted State Entrance Examination for admission to the college through AKTU, Lucknow. This test shall, however, be restricted to fill up seats for the students of the U.P. State only. 

Management Quota: All B. Tech admissions in different approved quotas shall be made strictly on the basis of merit and satisfying the eligibility criteria and interview at Delhi office by the admission committee. 

Direct Admission in B. Tech (2nd Year B. Tech Lateral Entry): IEC College of Engineering and Technology allows admission in B. Tech after Diploma course. Candidates can take direct admission in the B. Tech course in the 2nd year provided he/she is a domicile of U.P. and has passed a 3-year Diploma (with a minimum of 50%marks) recognized by the U.P. Board of Technical Education in any branch of Engineering except Agriculture Engineering. 

The Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed the Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category), subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
