Admission Details
Admission through CET
The Government of Karnataka conducts the Common Entrance Test (CET) through the Karnataka Examination Authority. This entrance exam is a gateway to getting engineering seats in the Government quota. As per the CET ranking, students can select the college at the time of CET counseling.
Admission through Management
Admission to Management Quota seats is based on merit and rank obtained in any of the Entrance Tests: UGCET, UGE, T, or JEE.
Selections will be made by the Government regulations prevailing at the time of admission. Successful candidates will have to get themselves admitted immediately, depending on the seat availability.
Government Quota Seats
45% of the seats are filled by the Government of Karnataka through the Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore.
Management Quota Seats
30% Seats are filled by COMEDK through Central Counselling.
25% of the seats are filled by Management.
The Admissions will be done as per the Govt. of Karnataka norms.
Eligibility Criteria
The Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category), subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
The Candidates shall have passed Pre-University or XII standard or equivalent examinations held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry / Biology / Bio-Technology, and have secured not less than 45% of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the Languages for admissions to Engineering & Technology courses or as revised by the All India Council for Technical Education from time to time.
