• Admissions are made as per rules/guidelines prescribed by the Telangana  State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) and JNTUH.
• 70 percent of seats are filled by the EAMCET/ICET Convener as per TS Government rules.
• 30 percent of seats are filled by the management only on a merit basis. Seats are open for all eligible candidates including candidates belonging to other states and Union Territories of India and NRIs, who are qualified in EAMCET and those who are not qualified in EAMCET but have 50% in aggregate in 12th standard having the subjects of Maths, Physics, Chemistry are eligible for the Admission.

Admissions to B. Tech is done through a common entrance test (EAMCET) conducted by the State Government. 

• 70 % of the seats are allotted based on merit in the EAMCET. 

• 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management/NRI candidates. 

• In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in the second year of B. Tech to the extent of 20% of intake based on the merit in the ECET, under the lateral entry scheme.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the B. Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) conducted by the board of Intermediate education or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects.
