B.E./ B.Tech Degree Programme - First Year

• Based on the cut-off marks obtained in the higher secondary (10+2) examination.
• Cut off mark = 200 (100 for Mathematics and 100 for Physics + Chemistry)

B.E/ B.Tech Degree Programme - Direct Second Year Lateral Entry

• Based on the percentage marks obtained in the Diploma (10+3/12+2) examination.

A pass in HSC (academic stream) /CBSE/Pre-degree/Plus 2 equivalent school study with minimum eligibility in Maths, Physics, Chemistry (Or)

A pass in HSC (vocational stream) with Engineering / Technology as vocational subjects and any 1 or 2 of the related subjects like Maths, Physics, Chemistry (Or)

Any equivalent qualification approved and recognised by the State Board of Technical Education and Training / Higher Secondary Board of Tamil Nadu and Universities in Tamil Nadu.

Candidates must have minimum pass marks according to community

Lateral Entry for Direct II Year B.E/B.Tech Programmes

A pass in 3-year Diploma courses conducted by Tamil Nadu State Board of Technical Education or equivalent recognised by the board in pre-final/ final semester of study.

A pass in the HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in the related subjects is put together as given below. For OC Candidates 45% and for All other reserved categories BC/MBC/SC/ST candidates 40%.
