Eligibility Criteria
Qualifying Examinations: HSC Academic / Equivalent
Candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with atleast the minimum aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics put together category wise.
Minimum Eligibility Marks:
General Category (OC) - 45% marks in aggregate
BC / BCM / MBC / DNC / SC / SCA / ST Category - 40% marks in aggregate
Qualifying Examinations: Diploma
Candidates who have passed 10+3 or 12+2 years Diploma / B.Sc (any stream) Examination recognized by Central / State Governments with Mathematics as compulsory subject.
Minimum Eligibility Marks:
General Category (OC) - 55% aggregate in all Semester marks put together
BC / BCM Category - 50% aggregate in all Semester marks put together
MBC / DNC / SC / SCA / ST Category - 45% aggregate in all Semester marks put together
The candidate should have passed the twelfth standard of Tamil Nadu H.S.C. (Academic) or an equivalent examination recognised by Anna University with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The Candidate should have passed the Diploma Examination in Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu or an equivalent examination for direct admission to second year (Lateral Entry).
The number of appearances, minimum marks and other criteria for admissions to B.E / B.Tech courses is as per AICTE and State government norms.
