    Admission Details

    • The admission to the B-Tech. Course, under “Category A” seats, is through a State-Level Entrance Test called “Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, and Medical Common Entrance Test” (APEAPCET), conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
    • 70% of the seats under “Category A” are filled by the Convener of APEAPCET based on the rank secured in APEAPCET and as per the rules of reservation in force. The Management fills 30% of the seats under “Category B”. Based on the guidelines issued by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh from time to time.

    UG (B.Tech) admissions conducted through the common entrance test (EAMCET) by the Andhra Pradesh state government. While 70% of the seats allotted are based on merit in EAMCET, 30% of the seats are earmarked for Management Quota. In addition, the Engineering Diploma holders, based on their merit at ECET (FDH), are admitted into Lateral Entry ( II year B. Tech Courses) to the tune of 20% of the total intake.

    Eligibility Criteria

    A Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as mandatory subjects or any other 10+2 level examination recognized by the Board of Intermediate as equivalent thereto.

    B.Tech (Lateral Entry) Admission Procedure 

    The Convener of ECET admits candidates in 2nd year of BE (lateral entry), from the stream of Diploma Holders and B.Sc. Graduates with Mathematics as one of the subjects based on the rank secured in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) to an extent of 10% of the sanctioned intake, on a supernumerary basis.

    Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
