Admission Details
ADMISSION PROCESS:
The guidelines for admission to a B.Tech program through the Convenor Quota in Andhra Pradesh are as follows:
The Convener of the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) fills 70% of the seats in an institution, known as Category-A seats. The remaining 30% of seats are filled by the institution under the Management/NRI quota, known as Category-B seats.
The Convener admits students based on their EAMCET rank, choice of institution, and the reservation policy of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
The Convener also admits 10% of the sanctioned intake for each program directly into the second year of the B.Tech program. This is for Diploma holders who pass an equivalent examination or a diploma from the Andhra Pradesh State Government.
The Admission Process is based on the rank secured in APEAPCET and as per the rules of reservation in force.
Eligibility Criteria
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed the Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
The Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as mandatory subjects or any other 10+2 level examination recognized by the Board of Intermediate as equivalent.
B.Tech(Lateral Entry)
The Convener of ECET admits candidates in 2nd year of BE (lateral entry), from the stream of Diploma Holders and B.Sc. Graduates with Mathematics as one of the subjects based on the rank secured in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) to an extent of 10% of the sanctioned intake, on a supernumerary basis. FEES: As applicable in the case of "Category A" seats.
