Admission Details
COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (CET) ONLY FOR KARNATAKA STUDENTS The Government of Karnataka conducts the Common Entrance Test for admission into various professional courses. The CET is generally conducted during May, and the notification will appear in all leading newspapers. A merit list will be prepared based on the 50% weightage for the marks of the qualifying examination and 50% weight for the CET Marks for declaring the CET rank. Seat Matrix is announced, indicating seats available in different college in different branches based on the sanctioned intake.
COMEDK BOTH FOR KARNATAKA AND NON-KARNATAKA STUDENTS. The Comdek test for admission into various professional courses will be conducted all over India. The Code is generally conducted during May and the notifications will appear in all leading newspapers. The COMEDK ranking is based on the performance of students in the COMEDK entrance test only. Seat Matrix is announced indicating seats available in different colleges in different branches based on the sanctioned intake.
Admission will be made on the basis of KCET Exam.
Eligibility Criteria
The qualifying examination is the 2nd PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by the State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject.
General Merit Candidate should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST, and OBC candidates of Karnataka state) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory along with Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as one the subjects. However, changes if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE will be adopted.
The student should have passed 2nd PUC/ 12th standard or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and should have scored an aggregate of 45% in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Electronics/Biology. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.
