The admission to the B.Tech Course under “Category A” seats is through a State-Level Entrance Test called the Engineering, Agricultural Sciences and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET), conducted by the Government of Telangana.

70% of the seats under “Category A” are filled by the Convener of EAMCET based on the rank secured in EAMCET and as per the rules of reservation in force.

30% of the seats under “Category B’ are filled by the Management based on the guidelines issued by the Govt. of Telangana from time to time.

The convener of ECET admits candidates in the 2nd year of B.Tech (lateral entry) from the stream of Diploma Holders and B.Sc. Graduates with Mathematics as one of the subjects, based on the rank secured in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) to an extent of 20% of the sanctioned intake, on a supernumerary basis.

• State Level Common Entrance Test TS-EAMCET conducted by the State Government 70% seats filled by the State Government (Convener EAMCET)–Category A 30% seats filled under Management Quota: Category B 15% and NRI Category 15%.
• Fee Structure is same for both Category A & Category B Seats. Fee Structure for NRI Seats is different and it will be as per the GO issued by TS Govt. 
• Lateral Entry for Admission in to 2nd Year: State Level Common Entrance Test TS-ECET conducted by the State Government. Seats will be filled by TS-ECET Convener.

A Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Telangana, with Mathematics. Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects or any other 10+2 level examination recognized by the Board of Intermediate as equivalent thereto. All the applicants should have attained a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 and in the case of the reserved category,y 45% marks are required.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
