Admission will be based on JEE (Advanced) Examination Score.
1. Admission to all disciplines will be made in the Autumn Semester of each session at the First Year level through JEE (Main), the counseling for which is done by Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) [The acronym JEE {Joint Entrance Examination} in this document shall mean JEE(Main) or any other equivalent examination relevant to the context]. There shall be no opportunity for a change of branch mid-way during the programme.
2. Besides the successful JEE candidates, a specified number of foreign nationals selected under the policy laid down by the Government of India may be admitted directly to the 1st year of any of the programmes covered by these regulations. At present foreign nationals selected under DASA.
Eligibility Criteria
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
