Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State (DTE MS) has adopted the entrance examination MHT-CET conducted by the Government of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell and JEE-Main, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.

• A Candidate who has passed in H.S.C. Physics and Mathematics (compulsory) with Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology/ Technical /Vocational Subject.
• Minimum 45% Marks for OPEN Category and 40% Marks for Other Category students.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed the Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category), subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
