• Other Communities (OC) of Tamil Nadu State: A pass with a minimum average of 45% in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together.
• Backward Class Community (BC) and BC (Muslims) of Tamil Nadu State: A pass with a minimum average of 40% in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together.
• Most Backward Class Community (MBC) & DNC of Tamil Nadu State: A pass with a minimum average of 40% in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together.
• SCA/SC/ST community of Tamil Nadu State: A pass with a minimum average of 40% in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together.

Candidates should have passed the HSC (Academic or Vocational) examination of Tamil Nadu or an equivalent examination recognized by Anna University with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

For Lateral Entry admission (Direct Second Year), candidates must have passed the Diploma in Engineering / Technology conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu, or an equivalent qualification.
