From the year 2013, the State Government of Madhya Pradesh has decided to admit students to Engineering Colleges of Madhya Pradesh through Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Mains) conducted at All India level by CBSE. The date of availability and cost of application form, last date of submission of form, examination form, examination fee, date of examination and other details are announced by the DTE/CBSE in leading Newspapers of the State.

Qualifying examination for Admission - Through Pre MCA Test/NIMCET.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

MCA aspirants are required to appear at the Pre-MCA Test being conducted by CGVYPAM. Any candidate who has completed his/her Graduation (three years duration) with at least 50% marks at the Graduation level and having Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the (10+2) level are eligible for admission to MCA course. However, such admission will be done through counseling to be conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Chhattisgarh and will be as per norms of Chhattsgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai. 75% of the seats are reserved for candidates with CG domicile and 10% Other State Quota, whereas the rest 15% is reserved for Management quota.The dates and other details of such counselling are displayed through advertisement in local newspapers as well as their official website (www.cgdteraipur.ac.in).

Lateral Entry Second Year

Passing three year degree in BCA or B.Sc (Information Technology/Computer Science) from any recognized University/institute with minimum 50% marks for UR category and 45% marks for SC, ST, OBCcategory and PWD candidates of Chattisgarh is essential.

Passing 10+2 (12th) or degree level examination with one of the subjects as Mathematics is essential. Allied subjects of mathematics such as Business Mathematics, Basics Mathematics etc., are not acceptable. Although higher subjects of mathematics like advanced mathematics is acceptable.
