Admission Details
A candidate desirous of seeking admission at Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi will have to appear in an all India level management admission test. XISS, Ranchi considers only the following three admission test scores for shortlisting the candidates:
Students are shortlisted on the basis of:
(i) Performance in the Common Admission Test (CAT), XAT, and GMAT
(ii) Academic Record
The shortlisting is done to guarantee that IMI students possess the necessary mathematical, analytical, and linguistic abilities for the management course.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum qualification for admission to the PGDM program at the Institute is three / four years bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities.
Candidates appearing for final year or final semester of their graduate degree examination in academic year 2022-23 are also eligible to appear for the admission process. Such candidates, if called for interview, should submit the copy of admit card or a letter from the principal of the college where they are studying to that effect. Such candidates if finally selected at XISS, Ranchi must clear their graduation examination with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) by August 2023.
A bachelor’s or equivalent degree, in any discipline, including Engineering, Humanities, Commerce, Economics, Medicine or any other branch of education, from a recognized university in India or abroad (recognized by the UGC / Association of Indian Universities). The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification of the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education, post higher secondary schooling under the 10+2 system or equivalent. Candidates appearing in the final year of their bachelor’s degree or equivalent are also eligible, provided they furnish proof of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria by September 30, 2024. Candidates who are unable to comply with this requirement are liable to be rejected from the program.
