    b) Sikkim Category:

    •  Candidates should apply to the Director, Technical Education, HRDD and Government of Sikkim. They should appear in the entrance test conducted by the Government, the details of which will be notified by the Director, HRDD, Technical Education. 

    c) MET Category:

    • Manipal Entrance Test (MET) conducted by MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher Education)

    • Candidates seeking admission under this category will have to appear for online test conducted by SMU.

    Eligibility Criteria

    General Candidates must pass H.S. Candidates must pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized Council/ Board in regular class mode with:

    1:- Individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and
    2:- Minimum of 45% marks in the above subjects taken together (40% for SC/ST/ PwD/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) as well as a pass in English with a minimum of 30% marks (for all categories of candidates) in the said qualifying examination.

    For Diploma Holders: Eligibility Criteria : (For 2nd Year Lateral Entry)

    • Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE-approved institution with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/PH candidates). are eligible to be admitted through the JELET Examination.
    • Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/PH candidates) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.
