Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category), subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

• The candidate should have 10+2 Non Medical from a board recognized by or established by Central/State Govt. through a legislation and a member of COBSE, New Delhi with Physics and Mathematics ac compulsary subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/ Technical Vocational Subjects/Information Technology/Information Practices/Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies
• Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category) in the above subject taken together. or 
• Those candidates who have passed diploma in Engineering Trade from PSBTIET Chandigarh or SLIET or any such examination from State Board of Technical Education obtaining at least 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category). or
• The candidates who have passed two years certificate course from SLIET shall be eligible.
