The Admission is through counselling. Candidates who seek admissions under Management Quota are selected by one of the following entrance examinations.

1) TNPCEE 2) CET

Passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed the Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

The candidates with a minimum of 60% aggregate in a single sitting in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together, may also be admitted.

Lateral:

Diploma holders can apply for lateral entry in second year B.E / B.Tech., as per the above pass percentage. 

For SC / ST  candidate should have minimum Average 40%, MBC/DNC Candidate should have minimum Average of 40%, BC Candidate should have minimum Average of  Average 45%, Other Communities and other states Candidate should have minimum Average of  Average 50%.
