Admission Details
Admission is made as per the rank obtained by eligible candidates in the state-level Common Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala State. 70% of the seats in the Colleges under CAPE will be allotted by the CEE as per the reservation policy of the Government. So also, 25% of seats under the Management quota under these institutions are also allotted by the CEE on a merit basis and 5% N.R.I seat was filled by CAPE based on rank.
Candidates should qualify (a minimum of 10 marks each in Paper I and Paper II) in the Engineering Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Govt. of Kerala (KEAM) and should be listed in the KEAM Rank List or JEE Eligibility.
Eligibility Criteria
The Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects, with at least 45% marks put together in the above subjects, are eligible for admission.
In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science, and Biotechnology the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered.
LATERAL ENTRY
Candidates who have a diploma in Engineering awarded by the board of Technical Examinations or an Examination recognized equivalent thereto, by the state Board of Technical Education, after undergoing an institutional course of at least 3 years secure a minimum of 50% marks in the final diploma examination, are eligible for admission.
