• 70 % of the seats are allotted based on merit in the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
• 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management / NRI candidates.
• In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in the second year of B.Tech to the extent of 20% of intake based on merit in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET), under the lateral entry scheme conducted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

The seats shall be filled either based on rank obtained in EAMCET or on securing not less than 50% in aggregate or group subjects (Maths, Physics, and Chemistry) in the 10+2 qualifying examination.

The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the B.Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) conducted by the board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects.

• A Candidate should have passed the Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry group subjects
• Any other Examinations equal to Intermediate Recognized by the university
• They have to qualify in the EAMCET Conducted by the Govt of A.P.
• The department provides necessary training to impart employability skills to its students.
• The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the AP Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order 1974 as amended from time to time.
