UG admission in BCE for four years B.Tech. Course is made on the basis of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) main, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Students have to appear in Under Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling (UGEAC) in order to seek admission to the first year B.E. / B. Tech. Courses based on the merit-list / Rank-List of JEE (Main).

Students are admitted through the Diploma Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE) conducted. By BCECE Board, Govt. of Bihar.  

The minimum academic qualification and Age for admission through an entrance Examination is a pass in the final examination of the Intermediate, 10+2 system or its equivalent. Those appearing in the Intermediate final or equivalent examination may also appear in the Entrance Examination for consideration of provisional admission.

Minimum 10th pass is the entry qualification for first-year (1st Semester) admission. Also, the ITI or vocational courses pass students directly admitted in the Second year (3rd Semester) through the Diploma Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE (L.E.)). It is also conducted by the BCECE Board. Govt. of Bihar.
