Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT. However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in 12th examination.

Each candidate applying for admission to this programme has to take a selection test comprising objective-type and short-answer-type questions in Mathematics at the Higher Secondary level (10+2 years programme). Based on performance in the tests, a selected list of candidates is called for Interviews. The final list of candidates selected for admission to the programme is announced after the interviews.

➢ Candidates must have completed their 12th-grade examination under the 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or an equivalent qualification.

➢ A minimum of five subjects is required, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, one Language, and any additional subject beyond these four.

➢ Candidates must secure:

• An aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and
• At least 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics individually.

➢ Both theory and practical components must be considered while calculating percentages.

To be eligible for admission, a student should have successfully completed 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education (or its equivalent) with Mathematics and English as subjects of study.
