A candidate willing to seek admission to an undergraduate course for an academic year shall obtain a minimum of marks at the 50th percentile in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by an authority designated by the Central Government for the undergraduate and postgraduate courses held for the said academic year.

In case of admission based on the qualifying examination, a candidate for admission to the BDS course must have passed individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and must have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology together in the qualifying examination. In respect to candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination shall be 40% instead of 50% as above, and the candidate must have passed the subject of English.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) shall be designated authority for counseling for all the admission to Undergraduate and Post graduate courses in all Dental educational institutions in the state including the institutions established by the State Government, University, Deemed university, Trust, Society, Minority institution, Corporation or company shall be in accordance with relevant rules and regulations of the Government of Karnataka State.

• Candidates must have passed the two-year Pre-University examination of the PU Board of Karnataka, or any other examination recognized as equivalent by RGUHS, Karnataka, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as optional subjects, securing not less than 50% marks (40% for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates).
• Candidates must qualify in the undergraduate National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG).
• Candidates must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31 December of the admission year.
