A candidate willing to seek admission to an undergraduate course for an academic year shall obtain a minimum of marks at the 50th percentile in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by an authority designated by the Central Government for the undergraduate and postgraduate courses held for the said academic year.

In case of admission based on the qualifying examination, a candidate for admission to the BDS course must have passed individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and must have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology together in the qualifying examination. In respect to candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination shall be 40% instead of 50% as above, and the candidate must have passed the subject of English.

• The candidate must have completed 17 years of age.
• The candidate must be an Indian National or a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholder and should satisfy the local or non-local status as per Telangana State residency requirements.
• The candidate must have passed Intermediate (10+2 pattern) or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany/Zoology) / Biotechnology, and English.
• OC (Open Category) candidates, including those seeking EWS reservation, must secure at least 50% marks in science subjects.
• BC/SC/ST candidates must secure at least 40% marks in science subjects.
• OC PH candidates must secure at least 45% marks in science subjects.
