    He/she should have appeared and qualified in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). 

    Admissions in the BDS course will be done through National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG).

    Eligibility Criteria

    • A candidate shall be eligible to join the BDS course if he /she has passed the two-year Pre-University Examination of Karnataka’s Pre-University Board (or equivalent qualifying examination of other recognized boards) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as one of the languages of study.
    • Candidate shall have obtained not less than 50% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together, and a pass in the English language in the qualifying examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru (Bangalore), Karnataka. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) students or students of any other categories notified by the government shall be given a relaxation of 10% in the aggregate marks required for eligibility.     • Candidates must have passed individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English and must have obtained a minimum of not less than 50% marks in  Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together in the qualifying Examination.  In respect of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes and Category I, the minimum marks prescribed shall be not less than 40% of the total marks in lieu of 50% marks for general candidates.
    • The candidate shall have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete this age on 31st December of the year in which he/ she seeks admission.
