Admissions in BDS course will be done through National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG).

The admission is based on the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (NEET-UG).

No Candidate shall be allowed to be admitted to the Medical Curriculum of first Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Course until:

1. He/she shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December, of the year of admission to the BDS course.

2. The higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any other elective subjects with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Educational Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on education.

OR

3. The intermediate examination in science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.

OR

4. The pre-professional/pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination or the pre-university or an equivalent examination. The pre-professional/pre-medical examination shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and also English as a compulsory subject

OR

5. The first year of the three years degree course of a recognized university, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in three subjects provided the examination is a "University Examination" and candidate has passed 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course.

OR

6. B.Sc examination of an Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc examination with not less than two of the following subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the following subjects-Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

OR

7. Any other examination which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the intermediate science examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry, and Biology including practical test in each of these subjects and English.

(I) Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible to appear in the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST-II (UG)
(II) The candidate must have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./B.D.S. Course.
(III) The upper age limit of candidates seeking admission under 15% All India quota Seats in Medical/Dental College run by the Union of India, State Government, Municipal and other local authorities in India, except in the State of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana, is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five ) years for candidates of Scheduled Castes/Schedules Tribes/other Backward Classes.
(IV) The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission to MBBS/BDS seats under the control of States/Universies/Instuon shall be as per the rules of the State/University/Instuon concerned.

(V) The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English Individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Biotechnology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together in the qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General candidates. Further. For persons for locomotory disability of lower limbs, a minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-Ph/ST-OBC-PH are required. Those who are appearing in the Class XII examination in 2016 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally, subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.

(VI) Candidates from the States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J&K are not eligible for 15% All India Quota seats as these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. However, they are eligible to appear in NEET- I I for admission in Private Medical/Dental College or any Private/Deemed University and AFMC, Pune
