Admissions to the BDS course will be done through National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG).

• Candidates who have passed the two-year Pre-University Examination of Pre – University Board of Karnataka with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects are eligible for admission to the first year.
• Not less than 50% of the aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are taken together at the qualifying examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.
• Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students shall be given a relaxation of 10% in the aggregate marks required for eligibility.
• A candidate who has appeared in a qualifying examination, the result of which has not been declared, may be provisionally allowed to take up the competitive entrance examination and in case of his / her selection for admission to the dental course, he/ she shall not be passed the qualifying examination.
• Minimum 50% marks in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together at the competitive entrance examination.
• The candidate shall have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete this age on 31st December of the year in which he/she seeks admission.

1. Candidates must have passed individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together in the qualifying Examination. However, In respect of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Category l, the minimum marks prescribed shall be not less than 40% of the total.
2. All Candidates including the NRI quota should be qualified in NEET.( i.e 50 percentile for general merit and 40 percentile for reservation category )
3. The candidates should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or should be completing this age on 31^st December of the year in which he/she seeks admission.
4. Students who have studied other than the pre-university board of Karnataka have to produce an Eligibility Certificate issued by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Karnataka at the time of BDS admission.
5. All the NRI and management category students shall be admitted through common counseling conducted by CET.
