Admission to the B.A.LL.B. (Honours) Program shall exclusively be based on the performance of the candidate in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). However, in order to be eligible to appear in CLAT.

The Admission shall be based exclusively on merit in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).

1. There will be no upper age limit for UG Programme in CLAT.
2. As regards the minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination), the candidates must have secured:
   1. Forty-five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories
   2. Forty Percent (40%) marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
3. Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April are also eligible to appear in the CLAT examination. However, they shall be required to produce evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
4. The result of the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.
5. In case of equal marks, the break of tie shall be by the following procedure and order as under:
   1. Higher marks in the component/section on legal aptitude in the CLAT exam;
   2. Higher age;
   3. Computerized draw of lots.

The Admission is based on the merit through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).However, to qualify for admission:-

1. The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination of the Board of School Education, Haryana or its equivalent State/Central Board with minimum 45% marks in the aggregate (40% marks for SC/ST candidates)
2. The candidates appearing in or awaiting results of the qualifying examination held or being held in March/April may also apply and appear for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) provisionally, subject to the condition that they shall produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed percentage of marks and other requisite documents at the time of their counseling for admission at DBRANLU, Sonepat.
3. The candidature of:-
   • those who do not clear the qualifying examination with the requisite marks and or fail to produce result on the date of counseling, or
   • those who get compartments/re-appear in any subject in the qualifying examination, shall be cancelled and subsequent securing qualifying marks shall not be considered in any case.
