• Admissions to the first year of the 3-year LL.B. course, in all colleges under the jurisdiction of Karnataka State Law University, is strictly based on merit and based on the marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying examination.
• Applications will be short-listed based on merit.

Have graduated in any discipline of knowledge from a University established by an Act of Parliament or by a State Legislature or an equivalent national institution recognized as a Deemed to be University or Foreign University recognized as equivalent to the status of an Indian University by an authority competent to declare equivalence, may apply for three-year degree course in law leading to the conferment of LL.B. degree on successful completion of the regular programme conducted under these Regulations.

Be or be less than thirty years in the case of the general category of applicants and thirty-five years in the case of applicants from SC, ST, and other backward communities.

Have secured marks, which shall not be below 45% of total marks in case of general category applicants and 40% of total marks in case of SC and ST applicants.

Internal Criteria for Selection

1. Percentage of Marks – 45% &  Above in graduation.

Seeking admission into 3-year law course qualifications needed are only 12th and three-year graduation, with 12th being the basic qualification for seeking admission into a 3-year law course,

The qualifications of 10th, 12th (+2), and graduation may be obtained through any mode (distance/correspondence / open schooling method).

And the Pass percentage is 45% for the general category, 42% for the OBC category, and 40% for SC/ST category.
