• Admission for 50 percent seats of four year degree course B.Tech (Honours) will be done through Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) / Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) co-ordinating admission of Joint Entrance Examination (Main) (or other similar bodies as the case may be) and admission for remaining 50 percent seats will be done through Directorate of Technical Education coordinating admission of CGPET.
• The vacant seats after CSAB/JoSAA and CGDTE counseling will be filled by University Counseling.

Entrance Exam :

For taking Admission in Engineering Institute in Chhattisgarh, the Pre-Engineering Test (PET) entrance exam is compulsory. The State-level common entrance test conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, Raipur, for the purpose of determining the merit list for admission to B.Tech. courses. Also, JEE entrance marks will be accepted.

A Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate examination (10+2) of the Board of Intermediate Education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as subjects or any other examination.

For admission to a regular degree course in engineering :

Passing 12th through the (10+2) education system of the Board of Secondary Education, Chhattisgarh, or any recognized board/University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the subjects, such as Chemistry subject is essential.

Passing cumulatively in all three main subjects, i.e., Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry subject with a minimum of 45% marks for the UR category and 40% marks for the SC, ST, OBC category and PWD candidates of Chhattisgarh is essential.

Lateral Entry in B.Tech.

Candidates having a 3-year Diploma in the concerned discipline with 50% marks from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi-recognized institutions are eligible for admission in the respective branches directly to the 2nd year (3rd semester) of B.Tech. programme.
